It’s a virtual world, and it seems like you can do almost anything from the comfort of your home in your pj’s. Believe it or not, you can also get help organizing your home virtually. You do the organizing yourself, but you get the benefit of having someone to help you strategize, keep you accountable, and encourage you along the way. You learn the process of decluttering and organizing, and you can continue to use your new skills in other areas of your home.
Virtual organization is a great option for:
1) People who would like to get help from a professional organizer, but there are none in their area.
2) People who have a tight schedule. A virtual session is usually only an hour, so it’s easier to work into your schedule than a typical 2-4 hour in-home session.
3) People who have a tight budget. Virtual sessions are usually cheaper, and a shorter session means less expense.
4) Someone who is physically able and motivated to do the work but needs a plan, guidance, encouragement, and accountability.
5) People who don’t want someone in their home. It’s more private than having an organizer by your side.
6) Someone who is already in the process of decluttering but needs a fresh set of ideas to keep them moving.
The Process:
The first step is a virtual consult. That gives me a chance to see your space and help you figure out your goals, vision and budget. It also gives you a chance to get to know me and to ask questions. We’ll start your organizing journey with a guided declutter where I’ll walk you through the steps of getting clutter out of your home. Next, we’ll figure out how to categorize, zone and contain the things you keep after the declutter. Each session lasts about an hour, and you’ll usually have a little bit of “homework” to complete before our next session. When we’re finished, you’ll be able to use the skills you learned to declutter and organize any space in your home.
