Why should I hire a professional organizer?
Getting organized can be time consuming and emotional. It helps to have someone guide you through the organization process. I will keep you focused on your goals and provide encouragement as you go.
Is it worth the money?
Getting your home organized provides many benefits. Being organized can help you save money by not re-buying items you already have but can’t find. Organization makes you more efficient in performing daily tasks like preparing meals and paying bills. Getting organized can help you save precious time because you'll know exactly where to find things. The sense of calm that comes with a tidy home - with everything in its place - is priceless.
Do I have to be a minimalist to be organized?
Absolutely not! It’s OK to have things, especially things you love and those that serve a purpose. Some decluttering is necessary, but you don’t have to get rid of everything. It’s OK to have your stuff, as long as your stuff doesn’t control you.
I’m embarrassed by the way my house looks. Should I clean up before you arrive?
Please don’t be embarrassed, and please don’t clean up. My job is not to judge you or make you feel bad about your home. I need to see how you live and see what is and isn’t working for you so we can establish your unique success plan.
Do you do the work for me?
When we work together (and you’re involved in the process), you control what items to keep and which to let go. Plus, learning how to declutter is important so that you can continue using the systems we set in place to stay organized. Don’t worry, I’ll be right there to help you with the physical, and sometimes emotional, work.
I’ve tried to get organized, but couldn’t maintain it. Why will it be different this time?
Organization is personal. Finding a system that works for you and your unique needs makes all the difference in maintaining what we begin. I help you discover if you are a visual or hidden organizer, and determine your need for a micro- or macro-organized system. Once we find your style, you’ll be comfortable applying it long term.
What is redecorating?
Redecorating is using the things you already have in your home to create a fresh new look. When we redecorate, we use the items you treasure so your home reflects who you are. We will "shop your home", rearrange as needed, and personalize your space without spending additional money.
What is the cost of your services?
The Initial Consultation is $45 (waived if you pre-pay 4+ hours). All at-home services (Relocating, Organizing, Redecorating) are $45/hr with 2 hour minimum. Shopping is $25 per trip. How does Virtual Coaching work?
Virtual appointments are a great option for someone who is ready to tackle organizing with just a little bit of guidance and advice, or someone who’s outside the North Georgia area. We'll use Google Meet or other online video services to help get your clutter under control and establish a system to get organized.
